2. Data stored only on your device

To work, Woofdoku stores the following locally on your iPhone:

This data is not transmitted to us or to third parties. Depending on your iOS settings it may be part of your personal iCloud or device backup managed by Apple. Deleting the app removes all of this data from your device.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, the app schedules local notifications directly on your device. No data is sent to a server. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

Motion sensor

For the optional depth effect, the app reads how your device is tilted. These values are only used in the moment to move the background and are neither stored nor transmitted.

3. Advertising with Google AdMob

Woofdoku is free and funded by ads. For this we use Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

What data is processed

When ads are loaded and shown, Google processes in particular:

Why

Google uses this data to deliver ads, measure their reach, prevent fraud and, only with your consent, tailor ads to your interests.

Your consent

In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app asks you on first launch, through a consent dialog from Google, whether and for what purposes your data may be used for advertising. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for accessing information on your device, Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG). Your choice is stored on your device.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time in the app under Settings → Help → Privacy settings. Woofdoku stays fully playable without consent. In that case only non-personalized ads are shown, where this is permitted without consent.

App Tracking Transparency (advertising ID)

Before your iPhone’s advertising identifier may be used, iOS asks for your permission. If you decline, Google does not receive this ID. You can change your decision at any time under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Transfers to the USA

Google may also process data in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally uses the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. In-app purchases

Purchases such as “Remove ads” or treat packs are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We receive neither your name nor your payment details. The app only checks with Apple which purchases belong to your Apple ID. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies.

5. Statistics from Apple

If you agreed in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with aggregated, non-personal statistics such as crash reports or usage numbers. You can control this under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

6. Contact form and email

If you write to us using the contact form or by email, we process your email address, your name (if given), the selected topic and your message in order to answer your request. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or, for questions about purchases, pre-contractual and contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The form stores nothing on our web server; it forwards your message by email to our inbox. We delete requests once they are resolved and no statutory retention obligations apply. When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as your IP address in server log files.

7. Children

Woofdoku is not specifically directed at children under 16. If you are younger, please ask your parents before agreeing to personalized ads.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.

As we do not store any personal data about you ourselves, we cannot provide information about data held by Google or Apple. Please contact those providers directly. For any questions, you can reach us at the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.

9. Changes

If the app or the law changes, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
